Banana Ice Cream
This recipe is simply delicious, and insanely easy. Bananas are one of my favorite fruits, their creamy texture, sweet taste, and rich flavor lends itself to creating an ice cream that is nothing short of amazing. Seriously, once you try this you will be making it all the time.
Ingredients:
Bananas*
* 1 banana is enough to feed one person, but I will make it in batches of 4-5 bananas to keep in my freezer as a snack for the week.
1. Cut bananas into 1" slices, freeze for 2-3 hours.
2. Remove bananas from freezer place in food processor.
3. Blend until smooth-- it should be the consistency of frozen yogurt. During this process I usually have to stop the food processor a few times to scrape the banana down from the sides.
4. Serve and enjoy.
Sonny and I like to top this ice cream with anything we have laying in the pantry. We have topped it with peanut butter, honey, almonds, chocolate sauce, carmel sauce, peanuts, various fruit, brown sugar and cinnamon. I think tonight I may experience with some maple syrup and hazelnuts. Seriously take this recipe and run, you will love it!
